8/15 Wednesday
Ate breakfast at Dinah's this morning. I had the Apple Pancake; Chari had the Strawberry Crepe. Susie (our personal trainer), we didn't eat all of it, either one of us, honest! It sure was good!
Spent the rest of the morning at the El Segundo Flight Path Museum. We wondered if it was open--no cars in the lot. Several volunteers cheerfully showed us around. Our main guide had been a flight attendant for 20 yrs for Continental, flying mostly DC-10s. We had a wonderful time visiting with her.
The museum has a vintage DC-3, tug, and fuel truck. The plane last was used by Union 76 execs, so the interior was plush (for it's day). We had a great time in the museum. The north side was glass, facing LAX. They had an Air Traffic Control radio tuned to the tower, so it was fun hearing and seeing all the activity across the tarmac.
Have more pics, but the blog site is acting wacky for now, so will stop with this.
Morale: Excellent
