Resting and random thoughts (and pics)

A couple of folks have said “post some pics”. OK, we’ve been taking them, but it requires a little more TIME to load them, so hopefully, I can get it done now.

We toured the natural history museum in Hays. Way back when KS was under a SEA, a lot of stuff was in the area. This fish fossil was found near Hays. The big fish is 14 feet long, so don’t say KS doesn’t have BIG FISH! What is unique about this find is that the big fish had a small fish (probably 3-4 feet long) in it, when something catastrophic happened that killed the big fish…………..

This “cat” about 4 feet tall used to live in KS. We think it’s one of Cindy’s Cat Alphie’s ancestors, since they look a lot alike and are about the same size!

In western KS, where there was a bumper wheat crop, a few grain elevators had piled grain on the ground after the bins were full. In this shot, the pile is about half the height of the elevator. The power lines in front of the pile are probably 40-60 feet tall.

Pic of Chari and her brother Blake (he’s the one without hair).
